With serious winter weather on the way, it should be reassuring to residents in Auglaize County that the engineer’s office has acquired more salt.

Engineer Doug Reinhart says an additional 400 tons has been obtained from ODOT to go with salt that filled the shed from last March.

What’s on hand now should cover any weather event for the rest of the season:

Crews will treat roads intersections and bridges as always, but drivers still have to do their part by using caution.
